Continued Public Hearing: Discussion and a vote upon amendments to the Framingham Zoning Ordinance regarding the addition of MBTA Overlay Districts as required by MGL Chapter 40A Section 3a of the Zoning Act. Continued from the 10/29/24 Council Meeting and again from the 11/4/24 Council meeting.

Upon request of the Council Chair, further review of proposed alternate MBTA Zoning Ordinance and MBTA Overly District Maps; and a discussion and review of additional maps/parcels identified by City Councilors for inclusion in the proposed MBTA Zoning Ordinance. Votes may be taken on inclusion of additional maps/parcels, submission to the Planning Board for report and recommendation, and request for a joint public hearing with the Planning Board on MBTA zoning required by MGL Chapter 40A, §3A.

The primary mission of The Government Channel network is to provide live gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Board of Health, City Council, Disability Commission, Licensing Commission, Planning Board, School Committee, Traffic Commission, and Zoning Board of Appeals. However, when those boards are not meeting, the Government Channel provides coverage of various public affairs events. The Government Channel cable operation provides programming by governmental bodies and agencies to inform residents and encourage participation in local government.
